Dr. Adamantia Dereka is an Endocrinologist – Diabetologist with professional experience in Greece and Sweden. She graduated from the Medical School of Comenius University and began her clinical career at the Department of Internal Medicine of the General State Hospital of Nikaia in Athens.

She then continued her training in Sweden at Linköping University Hospital. She specialized in Endocrinology – Diabetology at Centralsjukhuset Karlstad, as well as at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, which is ranked 1st in Europe and 5th worldwide.

After completing her specialty training, she worked as a consultant physician in Sweden, gaining substantial clinical experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of endocrine and diabetological disorders. She also has extensive experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of gestational diabetes, type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, as well as thyroid disorders during pregnancy, with an emphasis on safe and individualized care for both the mother and the fetus.

At the same time, she collaborates in research with the Karolinska Institutet, focusing on hypogonadism and testosterone therapy, and actively participates in European and nationwide Swedish conferences in endocrinology and diabetology. She has attended specialized postgraduate training seminars in Sweden and Norway, including in Lund (diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia), Stockholm (pituitary, adrenal, and gonadal disorders), and Oslo (parathyroid disorders, calcium metabolism disorders, and osteoporosis).
